DIY No Bake Dog Treats: 3 Healthy Treats for your Pooch!

The "dog" summer days are here! Keep your favourite four-legged friend fresh with some homemade doggie ice cream. With only three simple, all-natural ingredients, this homemade treat is a cinch to make and will leave your dog begging for more!

Frozen Yogurt Pops 

This refreshing homemade treat is made out of human-grade ingredients and contains fruit juice and carrots, which provide your four-legged friend with an extra vitamin boost. Yoghurt has calcium and protein and helps your pet break down food.

 

You'll need:

  • 6 oz. a container of plain, NON-FAT frozen yoghurt
  • 1 cup of "no-sugar-added" fruit juice
  • 1/2 cup of carrots, minced

Instructions:

  1. Add the yoghurt, fruit juice, and carrots into a bowl. Mix until the ingredients are smooth and well-blended.
  2. Put the mixture into the ice cube trays.
  3. Freeze until the combinations are solid 

 

Strawberry Coconut Butter Dog Ice Cream

 

You'll need:

  • Milk 32 oz. tub plain yoghurt
  • 1/2 c. pure coconut butter
  • 1 c. fresh strawberries washed and dried

 Instructions:

  1. Add yoghurt, strawberries, and coconut butter to a blender, blending until smooth.
  2. Pour mixture into a freezer-safe container. To make individual portions, pour into ice cube trays or small food-safe containers.
  3. Cover and freeze for several hours or up to a day before serving.
  4. Once frozen, scoop single servings into your dog's favourite bowl! Store leftovers in the freezer.

Coconut Blueberry Dog Ice Cream

 

You'll need:

  • 32 oz. unsweetened 100% coconut milk (available in the health food section)
  • 3/4 c. fresh blueberries washed and dried
  • 1/4 c. honey

 Instructions:

  1. Add yoghurt, strawberries, and coconut butter to a blender, blending until smooth.
  2. Pour mixture into a freezer-safe container. To make individual portions, pour into ice cube trays or small food-safe containers.
  3. Cover and freeze for several hours or up to a day before serving.
  4. Once frozen, scoop single servings into your dog's favourite bowl! Store leftovers in the freezer.
